Positive injury updates for Dan Sheehan, James Lowe, and Will Connors could see them feature in Leinster's Champions Cup clash with Bath and the upcoming Six Nations.
Leinster Rugby has provided a positive update on the injury status of several key players, including Dan Sheehan, James Lowe, and Will Connors. All three are making significant progress in their rehabilitation this week and could potentially be available for selection in Saturday's Champions Cup match against Bath . This news is particularly encouraging for Ireland, as interim head coach Simon Easterby is set to announce his Six Nations squad tomorrow.
The likelihood of Sheehan and Lowe regaining fitness in time for the Six Nations opener against England in three weeks is growing. However, it remains uncertain if they will participate in the Bath encounter at the Aviva Stadium. Sheehan has been absent since last summer when he sustained an ACL injury during Ireland's tour of South Africa, while Lowe has not played since the November Test series due to a calf problem. Connors, an openside flanker, has not featured for Leinster since the end of November but is now on the verge of a return.Meanwhile, wing Jordan Larmour will miss the Bath game after suffering a hamstring injury in training last week. Fellow wing Tommy O'Brien is also uncertain for the match, having been withdrawn from the starting lineup against La Rochelle last weekend as a precaution. Like Lowe, Sheehan, and Connors, O'Brien's participation will be further assessed throughout the week. Adding to Ireland's good fortune, Tadhg Furlong, Jack Conan, and Ciarán Frawley all came through their returns to action against La Rochelle without any setbacks. Leinster reported that Rob Russell, Liam Turner, James Culhane, and Michael Milne continue to be sidelined due to injuries
