The Leitrim footballer opened up about what rule she would like to see changed within the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and on the plans for the three major sports organisation to integrate
Ailbhe Clancy shared her thoughts on the plans for the GAA , LGFA and Camogie Association to fully integrate by 2027.The Leitrim star also told RSVP Live about her toughest opponent, her day job away from the sport and how she balances everything.
My standout moment Sometimes it's the bad moments that stand out more. For me, it was the league semi-final vs Limerick this year. It was heartbreaking to lose, especially in the manner we did, but I think our response as a group was season defining. It would have been easy to feel sorry for ourselves but we stuck together and I think the team is stronger and closer than ever. I think our performances in the championship are reflective of that.
My day job Currently, I'm working as a microbiologist helping to bring new biologics to the market. I chose this career as I always had an interest in science and wanted to learn more about how biopharmaceuticals were made and how they work to help people with serious illnesses.
