One Fine Gael political ally said last night that it was 'a strange move'

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has shut down his constituency office and left a postal address in an industrial estate as his official point of contact for voters looking for representative help.

But one Fine Gael political ally said last night that it was "a strange move" and that "you’d wonder if he is checking out, thinking of giving up ahead of an election we won’t win." The Taoiseach formally had an address on Main Street in Ongar, near his family home base where his constituents could call in to see the politician they voted for, or his people.

A senior political colleague of Mr Varadkar informed the Mirror about the lack of office, describing his current constituency office arrangement as “just like a PO box really."
