Irish golfer Leona Maguire has been left out of Team Europe's foursomes pairings for the opening day of the Solheim Cup in Virginia. Despite her impressive performances in previous tournaments, Maguire's recent form struggles led to Captain Suzann Pettersen opting for other combinations.
Leona Maguire has not been selected to play in the Friday foursomes on day one of the Solheim Cup as Team Europe begin their defence in Virginia.
Maguire has struggled for form this season but did show glimpses of nearing top form when she won the Aramco Team Series event in London at the beginning of July.
