A Lethbridge man is facing multiple charges related to an incident where a woman was held against her will and sexually assaulted.
Lethbridge police say they’ve laid new charges against 59-year-old Bernard Alonzo Gibson after they received a report of an injured woman in the basement of a south Lethbridge home on May 18. Police were at the home when a man matching the suspect’s description, Gibson, returned. He was arrested on scene.Gibson is charged with aggravated sexual assault, unlawful confinement and failing to comply with bail conditions — which relate to a similar incident that occurred just two months ago.
