Letterkenny spinoff show, Shoresy, finally gets renewed for a season 2 on Hulu.
Letterkenny spinoff series Shoresy is renewed for a season 2 at Hulu. The announcement comes after nearly a year of waiting after the release of Shoresy season 1. Letterkenny premiered as a Hulu original on the streamer in 2016 and aired 75 episodes across 11 seasons throughout just six years. Letterkenny season 11 was released on Hulu in December 2022. Letterkenny season 12 has already started filming, which likely lines it up for another yearly release in late 2023.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Alongside other renewals, such as The Bear season 2, Hulu has announced that Shoresy is finally getting a season 2. A video tweeted by Hulu on Twitter shows Shoresy's senior AAA hockey team, the Sudbury Bulldogs, training by running through the snow. The show's season 1 followed Shoresy with a new cast of characters after joining the minor hockey ranks.
Shoresy season 1 was critically acclaimed and currently has a 100 percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a 94 percent audience rating. The Letterkenny spinoff was lauded for its surprisingly wholesome take on the beloved foul-mouthed Shoresy character.Everything We Know About Shoresy Season 2 The confirmation of Shoresy's renewal for season 2 is welcome news for the Letterkenny series, but at the moment, no further information is known about the return to Ontario.
That bet sets the show's events into motion and leads to a nice spinoff story that differentiates itself from the original series very well, with it being set within the confines of a locker room and a sheet of ice during its climactic moments. In season 1, Shoresy bands together with new coach Sanguinet and a roster of new players with the team's fate on the line. They set out to prove that the Bulldogs can experience both monetary and on-ice success.
Could More Letterkenny Spinoffs Be Coming? Letterkenny was so beloved by its core fanbase that additional spinoff shows could make a lot of sense for Hulu. Letterkenny's entire cast earned praises for their performances, but regular side characters such as the Dyck family led by Noah and Anita , rumor-mongering fighting duo Ginger and Boots, and fierce First Nations defender Tanis were some of the standouts.
