I believe he is correct in his statement that many concerned parents are not trained professionals and do not have the expertise to know the difference between what might be a valuable teaching tool versus what is complete and utter hogwash. But then I have to wonder about Gupta’s description of a third grader with whom he recently spent an evening. Apparently the young boy spent the “entire evening” voicing his opinions on “dense topics such as critical race theory and LGBTQ+ activism.”
