Oasis star Liam Gallagher has defended his decision to choose The Verve's Richard Ashcroft as the band's support act for the 2025 reunion tour
Liam Gallagher has furiously hit back after some Oasis fans have slammed his and brother Noel's decision not to give young bands a chance to perform at their upcoming reunion tour.

One of Oasis’s first national tours was as support to The Verve back in 1993, often playing to just a few hundred people several months before their debut single ‘Supersonic’ was released.
However, Liam was clearly having none of the criticism as he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam those arguing against his decision. "To all the folk who are crying about us not showing love to the young bands and not letting them support, there’s LEVELS to this game and I’m afraid 99 percent of ya are way off L F***ING."
