Many believe that Lawson is worthy of a full-time drive and have encouraged he look elsewhere, but there is only one seat left on the grid for 2024, with Williams yet to confirm Alex Albon’s teammate.The seat is currently occupied by Logan Sargeant but the American has struggled in his rookie season, is yet to score a point and since the summer break has been involved in a number of big crashes.
‘To be honest, I haven’t thought about it [missing out on an AlphaTauri seat] too much. I think right now I’m focused on making the most of this opportunity.‘Obviously ultimately my goal is to be in F1, and the best way to achieve that is by extracting the best possible performance as I can in these races. So maybe I’ll think about it after!
