Liam Payne's first audition for the X Factor has resurfaced following the shock news that the One Direction star has died at the age of 31 after a fall from a hotel
The entertainment world is in shock as news of Liam Payne 's tragic death spreads. The 31 year old singer, who first shot to fame on The X Factor , died after falling from a third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A body was discovered in the hotel's internal patio, prompting the hotel manager to alert the authorities.
He admitted to the judges, including Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Cheryl, "I should really be concentrating on my school work but I just think about singing too much." Liam stunned the judges with a rendition of Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra. After his performance, Simon brutally shared: "I'm just missing a bit of grit, a bit of emotion and actually a bit of fun, funnily enough." Cheryl was more positive, gushing: "I liked it. I think you're really cute. I think you've got charisma.. you gave us that cheeky little wink," while Louis Walsh saw potential, stating: "I think this kid could do fantastic in the show.
He was given another shot and impressed all three judges, securing his place in the next round. Despite making it to the judges' houses, Simon decided to send him home, advising him to return in two years.
