Lily Allen blasts 'spineless' tributes to Sinead O'Connor in furious social media posts
Lily Allen has blasted 'spineless' tributes to Sinead O'Connor in a number of social media posts, saying she felt 'incensed'.
The Not Fair singer, 38, posted a series of furious Tweets over the weekend, saying the tributes to Sinead felt "spineless". She continued: "It’s also troubling that people have seemingly felt so empathetic towards her but didn’t feel that they could show it or express it for some reason. until they died. what does that say about us?"
"She had proud vulnerability and there is a certain music industry hatred for singers who don't 'fit in' , and they are never praised until death - when, finally, they can't answer back. You praise her now ONLY because it is too late. You hadn't the guts to support her when she was alive and she was looking for you."
