The Beeb has announced its yearly tally of iPlayer streaming figures, and Jed Mercurio's crime drama has crushed the nearest competition as the most-watched boxset and the most-watched episode of 2021.

Since the sixth series kicked off in March, its premiere episode has been seen 9.2 million times on the iPlayer and the series as a whole has been streamed an incredible 137 million times throughout the entirety of this year.'s 137.1 million streams dominates 2021's second-biggest programme, the Tokyo Olympic Games' 90.2 million — which itself is a staggering figure!
