Line of Duty Season 6 is set to air in Autumn as new plot details are revealed

I. Lindsay Denton, D.I. Matthew Cottan, D.C.C. Mike Dryden, Sergeant Daniel Waldron, and D.C.I. Roz Huntley, but Trainspotting star Kelly Macdonald is set to play their"most enigmatic adversary yet." In Season 6, the actress will play Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, the senior investigating officer of an unsolved murder, whose unconventional conduct raises suspicions at the anti-corruption unit. Well, Dunbar has confirmed that filming on Season 6 will start on Monday. While nothing official about a premiere date has been confirmed by the BBC, he also said that the new season is scheduled to be released in the autumn. "We're only about to start filming on Monday and the likelihood is that the next series of Line of Duty will only be going out on our screens in late autumn. You know, that sort of time," said Dunbar. Granted, one of the biggest mysteries that still has to be answered surrounds the identity of the nefarious and Machiavellian 'H.' When asked about the idea of Ted being 'H,' Dunbar said:"A lot of people did have the fear that I was H in Season 5, there's no doubt about that but they didn't want Ted to be the bad guy. I think Jed Mercurio was under orders not to make Ted the bad guy but you never know with him! Things could happen yet in the future but I don't think so at this point - I don't think that Ted is going to turn out as the bad guy, but you never know."With the show's fanbase only increasing, the interest in the new season is massive and Dunbar also provided a few details about some of the other characters in the show. On this note, we've got bad news for fans of D.S. Steve Arnott because it appears that he's still suffering from the injuries he sustained after that attack by the 'balaclava man' in Season 4. "The landscape has changed, things have moved on with all the characters and we have the great Kelly Macdonald joining us - she's going to be fabulous in the role. I can tell you that it's edge of the seat stuff again, Jed has done a wonderful job in writing the next series and it's going to be great. Steve is having a lot of trouble. Steve is having a lot of physical problems that came from his bad fall. Poor old Steve, he's going through it," added Dunbar.For fans of Dunbar, he will be be back on Irish screens this month as Virgin Media's hit drama Blood returns for a second series.
