The Aslan legend admitted it could be his last ever interview as he continues palliative care after a cancer battle
Christy Dignam fans have sung Ryan Tubridy's praises for an outstanding interview with the legendary Irish singer.
Christy gave what he believes may be his final ever interview to Ryan Tubridy on his RTE Radio 1 show this Monday morning, RSVP Live reported.In the interview, Christy said there are times he experiences feelings of fear because "nobody wants to die". "And that 10 years are up now and you're kind of saying, 'I know I only asked for 10 but you couldn’t throw another 10 in there could you?"On his spiritual sense, the Dubliner said: "I believe we are all spiritual beings in some sense or other. I remember there used to be an old saying… that 'religion is for people who want to go to heaven, spirituality is for people who have been to hell.
RTÉ listeners were in awe of the interview, with texts flooding in to thank Christy for his honesty, bravery and what he has done for the Irish music scene.Another text: "Listening to Christy one of my heroes. I particularly want to thank him for showing the horror of drug addiction. His story shows a wonderful man who has come through with great resilience and bravery. I wish him peace and love.
