Breaking: The fire is causing long Ring Road delays

Stanningley Bypass in Leeds is closed after a lorry fire, causing traffic chaos.

On Thursday evening around 6pm drivers saw a white lorry badly burned out after a fire on the A6120 Ring Road in Farsley leading to Morrisons. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue teams are currently at the scene where they are attending to the burnt vehicle. Two fire engines have been spotted parked up by the lorry. The incident has caused the A647 Stanningley Bypass Eastbound to close.Traffic is backed up and drivers are stuck in large queues. The incident has also caused interruptions to bus services including First Bus routes."It looks like a lorry has caught on fire or exploded on Stanningley bypass," one passer-by said.First Bus said: "Due to a vehicle fire at Stanningley Bypass, the road is closed towards Leeds.
