The M65 has been closed tonight after a crash took place. Police are on the scene of the closure on the eastbound carriageway between junctions two and three.
The closure was first announced shortly after 7.30pm. There has been no news on whether anyone has been injured in the incident. Lancashire Police said: "We’re currently at the scene of a road traffic collision at junction 2 of the M65. As a result all lanes are closed going Eastbound between junctions 2 and 3.Road remains closed - Inrix
M65 Eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from J2 M61 J9 to J3 A674 Chorley Road .Road users travelling eastbound are advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol visible on local road signs.At M61 J8/A674 Rbt, take the first exit onto the A674 eastbound Blackburn Road and follow for 6.9km.The M65 is closed eastbound due to a serious collision.
