Limerick are aiming to extend their era of dominance with a fourth provincial championship in a row. Despite winning the 2013 All-Ireland, Clare on the other hand haven’t won a Munster title since 1998.
The two counties played out a thrilling draw in the round-robin in Ennis a couple of weeks ago, although Limerick were without the likes of Aaron Gillane and Cian Lynch. Limerick manager John Kiely has said that Hurler of the Year, Lynch is “definitely out” for today’s final also.
