The world's biggest music festival gets underway at Worthy Farm today
Kate MacKerel, 22, Aigburth, Hope Clements, 22, Ellie Platt, 23, Hutton, and Elizabeth Masen, 23, from West Derby, are going for the first time. Hope said: "Everyone says, ‘You don’t know what it’s like until you’ve been, it’s that good’, so we wanted to see for ourselves." The friends are looking forward to seeing Charli XCX, Avril Lavigne and Disclosure.
It’s Holly’s fourth time going. She said: "When you get there, everyone’s in a good mood and the atmosphere isn’t the same as any other festival. "The line-up doesn’t even matter. People from Liverpool love a party and love music." Holly added that getting the coach was a no-brainer after her experience last time. She said: "I drove last year and the drive back home was horrendous, so that’s the main thing." She is excited to see Charli XCX and the secret sets.
