Live fire updates as blaze 'endangering property' breaks out on Stapleford street
Fire crews have been called out to a Stapleford street to tackle a garden fire which has "endangered a property". The incident has taken place on Melbourne Road inNottinghamshire Fire and Rescue
. Residents are being encourages to divert along Washington Drive while emergency crews work at the scene. A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called out at 6pm exactly - we have got crews from Stapleford,, Highfields and Long Eaton in attendance. It's a garden fire which is endangering the property."
Local councillor Richard McRae said: "Please avoid Melbourne Road, Stapleford. Emergency services in attendance. Please divert along Washington Drive."
