A diversion is in place
Highways England said contractors are en-route to the scene to work on clearing the flood. A diversion route has been put in place. See the update below for further details of the diversion.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: "The A46 southbound between the A606 Melton and the A6006 SixHills in Nottinghamshire is closed due to flooding following heavy rainfall. More information to follow shortly." Traffic monitoring site Inrix states: "A46 Southbound closed due to flooding from A606 Melton Road to A6006 Paddys Lane ."
