The King will later will lead the royal family in a poignant procession behind the coffin of his mother when it travels to Edinburgh's St Giles' Cathedral to allow the public to pay their respects.She will remain at St Giles' Cathedral during a service of prayer and reflection on her life, due to be held later and attended by the King, the Queen Consort, and other family members.
They will then travel to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where the Ceremony of the Keys will take place before the procession to St Giles' Cathedral. This evening, Charles and Camilla will receive a motion of condolence, tabled by the First Minister at the Scottish Parliament, and attend a reception.
