Liverpool are seemingly moving closer to completing their first transfer of the summer and of the Arne Slot era. The Reds are yet to make any new additions to their squad and now that looks set to change. A deal to sign Rio Ngumoha is close to completion as Liverpool close in on signing one of English football's most promising young talents. The 16-year-old starred for Chelsea's Under-18s last season and even featured for their Under-21s.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Premier League have completed their fifth and final step into the investigation in Liverpool's move to sign Ngumoha. As a result, it's expected that the Reds will formally announce the deal to sign the 16-year-old in the near future, which will see Ngumoha become the first new addition to be signed by Liverpool this summer.
