Arne Slot's arrival at Liverpool was confirmed in plenty of time for the Reds to make summer signings, but they're still waiting to do so just days before the season starts
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has yet to add to his squad since taking over from Jurgen Klopp, but that looks set to change as the Reds step up their push for midfield reinforcements.
Slot has indicated his team will only dip into the transfer market if they identify the right player who can improve the side in a relevant position. Now, though, it appears they have done just that. The bar is really high for new signings because we have so many good players so it is not so easy to first find a player to meet those standards and then is he available?" Slot said earlier in the window. "Then we have to find an agreement with them, so it is not always easy to find a player who can help us but Richard is working hard on it and let's see what comes from this.
