Liverpool injury news as Jurgen Klopp's side face Thomas Frank's Bees without the centre-back at Anfield this weekend
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to have Virgil van Dijk available for their Premier League clash against Brentford this weekend as his side look to bounceback from a controversial midweek defeat.
However, VAR controversially ruled out the goal after Alexis Mac Allister was deemed to have handballed it in the build-up, leaving many in the ground and watching at home stunned. Following the match, Klopp admitted that his side had 'deserved to lose', claiming that they weren't decisive enough at the key moments.
"We cannot concede the goals we conceded. The first goal, that can happen, but in the second half, in similar situations, we were completely open, the last line too deep, counter-attack. They scored five goals, two disallowed, and that's obviously not good. The result is the opposite of good and the performance was just not good enough.
