A Liverpool restaurant has made it to the prestigious Michelin Guide - just a year after it first opened.

It is led by executive chef Daniel Heffy, from Liverpool, who is known for having worked in Michelin star restaurants across the world, including in Stockholm. The restaurant's culinary style is described as "Travelled British" as it pays homage to local traditions while incorporating global influences inspired by Chef Daniel's travels.

The interior was also described as "modern décor with an almost futuristic edge", by Michelin guide reviewers. Nord is one of seven restaurants mentioned in the guide for May 2024. It says the new entries: "showcase the wealth of quality and diversity of styles in British and Irish dining, from a traditional pub to excitingly modern openings".

The à la carte menu includes crab salad milk roll, tandoori beetroot with fresh yoghurt and harissa tahini and beer battered cod kiev, warm tartare an pea fritter. Desserts are made up of rhubarb and custard choux bun, banana sticky toffee pudding, candy pecan nuts and clotted cream, lemon meringue tart and more.
