Liverpool's Nunez, Jota, and Szoboszlai shine as Salah seals the win with a late goal. Forest struggle to create chances, with their only threat hitting the woodwork. Turner's mistake gifts Salah an easy goal.
The Reds were untouchable for the most part with Nunez, Jota and Dominik Szoboszlai excelling before Mohamed Salah rounded out the scoring
. Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah were on target to extend the home team's unbeaten run to five games. Nunez was a constant danger throughout and helped spark the game into life with a shot that Matt Turner could only parry into Jota's path for the opening goal. The Uruguayan striker was then perfectly placed to get on the end of Dominik Szoboszlai's sharp, low cross and divert it in. Alongside Nunez, Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai was excellent, carving out chances and keeping a high tempo to his team's attacks.
Jurgen Klopp's team gave Forest no chance of getting into the game. The hosts had a massive 75 percent possession and the visitors' only real threat came from an Anthony Elanga shot that hit the woodwork in the 86th minute. Forest eventually ended up creating danger for themselves, as Turner's bizarre blunder allowed an otherwise quiet Salah to fire into an open goal for his team's third goal.
