The 5k fun run is back in December
The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash returns for its 20th anniversary event on Sunday, December 1. Every year thousands of Santas take part in a 5k fun run to raise money for Alder Hey's Children's Charity. The first Liverpool Santa Dash took place in 2004, created by BTR Liverpool Race director Alan Rothwell. More than 6,100 Santas took part in the run last year – making it the biggest turn-out since 2018. This year's dash starts at Pier Head at 9.
Santas can walk, jog, or run alongside wheelchair participants, families, groups of friends or colleagues. Tiny Santas in prams and pets are also welcome. The entry fee covers all costs to organise and deliver the event including road closures, safety measures, Santa suits, medals, goody bags, and entertainment. Entries are open and 500 places have already been booked. You can register online here.
