The mural in Deep Ellum that captured the imagination and sentiment of manyLocal artist Preston Pannek told, doing so at Doncic’s request. Pannek said that he and his wife, House of Pannek co-artist Adrienne Creasey-Pannek, will collaborate with Doncic on a replacement mural in the next few weeks.
Preston Pannek, part of the Dallas-based duo House of Pannek, posed in front of a covered up Luka Doncic mural on Jan. 17, 2023. The mural previously depicted Doncic frowning in his Mavericks jersey and holding a banner above his head that reads “PLEASE SEND HELP.” Many Mavs fans know. It’s a sentiment they’ve expressed throughout this roller coaster 24-21 Mavericks season that has seen the team follow up a recent 8-1 stretch with a 1-4 road trip., on one of the side walls of St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin in Deep Ellum.
Preston says he has been a hard-core Mavericks fan since 2000, the same year in which Cuban purchased controlling interest of the franchise.
