A secondary school in Glasgow is set to take on the Young Enterprise Scotland National finals.
The team behind the business created a literacy-based board game to improve reading comprehension and communication skills among young peopleLochend Community High School students will head to Hampden Park after winning the Glasgow Regional Final for the Company Programme with their business called GOAT.
The initiative also combats social isolation and encourages the development of relationships between different age groups. The Young Enterprise Scotland Company Programme offers S5 and S6 students practical work experience from developing an idea, conducting market research, creating the product or service, promoting that product and eventually trading it.
"Setting up and running their own successful company is a wonderful experience and will have given them new skills to take forward into their learning and future careers.Arnold Clark, among others, sponsored the Glasgow Company Finals.
