The Love Island couple have settled into life on the west coast of Ireland, with Lola making the permanent move from Kent just three weeks ago as they juggle new management deals and Celebrity Gogglebox filming.

Lola Deal and Séan Fitzgerald have officially settled into life together in Ireland, just weeks after the former Love Island contestant made the big move from Kent to Galway to be with her partner.

Speaking to STELLAR, Lola opened up about her relocation, revealing that she moved over about three weeks ago and has been enjoying every moment of her new life on the west coast of Ireland. The couple, who found love on the hit reality dating series, have been making the most of their time together by exploring the local area and soaking up everything Galway has to offer.

Lola admitted that while she adores the seaside town and finds the people incredibly warm and welcoming, she is not a fan of the famously unpredictable Irish weather. Séan, a proud Galway native and former primary school teacher, added that the pair have been keeping busy with plenty of sightseeing, including a trip to the scenic Aran Islands and an appearance at the iconic Galway Races, which is one of the highlights of the social calendar in the west of Ireland each summer.

Beyond their adventures, the couple have also been busy with work commitments, having recently filmed an episode of Celebrity Gogglebox late into the night. Séan revealed that they have signed with a new English management team to complement their existing Irish management, which he believes will open even more doors for them as a couple in the entertainment industry.

The pair also opened up about the challenges of public life, with Lola addressing the online backlash she faced during her time on Love Island, where some viewers accused her of being controlling and even questioned whether she was truthful about her job. Despite the noise on social media, Lola said that everyone she has met in person has been overwhelmingly lovely and that she no longer pays attention to negative comments online.

Séan joked that they often get stopped in the street, recalling a recent trip up Shop Street to buy Lola a pair of runners that ended up taking an hour and a half because fans kept approaching them for photos and conversations. The couple said that while the attention can be intense, the vast majority of interactions are positive and that people regularly send them the pictures they have taken together.

As for the online criticism, Lola brushed it off with good humour, saying it did not really phase her and that the negativity has largely died down since the show ended. Séan, who was known for his cheeky animal impressions during his time in the villa, revealed that he has officially retired from the act now that he is in a committed relationship, joking that he can no longer turn on any other women and that his impressions are now strictly reserved for Lola.

He added that while he wishes viewers had seen more of his fun-loving personality during his stint on Love Island, he is glad that fans are now getting a fuller picture of who he really is through his TikTok content
