The Nassau County District Attorney’s office in New York has opened a probe into Republican Rep.-elect George Santos after the incoming congressman admitted this week to fabricating parts of his resume, following a string of reports that he lied about his work, family, financial, educational and personal history during his campaign.leadership meeting on November 19, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
ABC reported federal officials are eyeing Santos’ unusual financial disclosures, including a filing that showed he made just $55,000 in 2020 and a subsequent report in which he claimed to have millions from a company he founded in 2021; he also donated $705,000 to his 2022 campaign.“The numerous fabrications and inconsistencies associated with Congressman-Elect Santos are nothing short of stunning,” Donnelly said.
