Advertisement The Home Secretary's plunge into the English Channel comes just days after he accused peers of being 'on the side of people smugglers' helping migrants into the UK. But Mr Cleverly said that blocking the bill only helped people smugglers who risked peoples lives while making huge sums of money cramming migrants into rickety boats to cross from France.
