Emergency services responded to the scene on Great Western Road after the alarm was raised shortly before 3pm.
An eyewitness said that the road has reportedly been closed as firefighters work to extinguish the blaze.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:"We received several calls at around 2.55pm on Friday, May 12 to reports of a lorry on fire on Great Western Road , Glasgow.
