Two players in Cork and Mayo are in for a big windfall after the weekend's EuroMillions and March Lotto draws
National Lottery players in Cork and Mayo are being urged to check their tickets from the weekend to claim prizes worth nearly €600,000 in total.
On Saturday, meanwhile, a Mayo player matched five numbers and the bonus in the March Lotto draw to become the biggest winner on the night with a prize of €87,616. The lucky player picked up their winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at Casey’s Knockcroghery in Castlebar. With no winner of the jackpot in either draw, it rolls over to an estimated €40 million for the next Euromillions draw on Tuesday and to an estimated €6 million for the Lotto draw on Wednesday.
"And, of course, they weren’t the only big winner! A Mayo Lotto player had plenty to celebrate on Saturday night after matching five numbers and the bonus to win €87,616.

Arson attack on house in West Dublin leaves two children and two adults hospitalisedA number of lines of inquiry are being pursued following an arson attack on a house in West Dublin that left two young children and two adults hospitalised. Gardai say they received a report of suspected criminal damage by fire that occurred at around 5am on Monday at a residence on Aylmer Drive, Newcastle. Four people, including two young children, had to be rescued by emergency services from the property and were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
