The former All-Ireland winner insists that the Wee County have evolved since Mickey Harte left the hot-seat last year
Louth boss Ger Brennan says it is unfair to ask him about rumours linking him with the Dublin job - and insists he is happy to remain with the Wee County.
With Farrell's future plans not yet confirmed after the Dubs' own quarter-final exit at the hands of Galway, Brennan was asked if he was staying with Louth for next year. The St Vincent's man was speaking ahead of the surprise appointment of Gavin Devlin as Louth's new director of underage football, a post that the county board announced was made in consultation with Brennan.
"So it's very, very important to credit both lads there and the management team that they had around them. I think all things happen for a reason. Their departure, I don't know would their style have helped the group I guess evolve a bit in the way they did this year.
