Who won Love Island? 2023 series winners announced as fans rage over shock result

Love Island have crowned Jess Harding and Sammy Root as their 2023 winners in a live final which was hit with a string of technical glitches.

Whitney and Lochan placed second, leaving fans stunned as they had been the favourites to win. Earlier in the series, Whitney and Lochan were voted favourite couple. Molly and Zach placed fourth this evening, whilst Ella and Tyrique placed third. Fans were left divided by the win - with some happy for them and others puzzled how Whitney and Lochan didn't take the crown.

Earlier in the programme, the remaining Islanders gathered together for one last moment where they declared their love to their partners and excitedly discussed what their futures were together.
