The PGA Tour announced the sudden death of two-time winner Grayson Murray on Saturday after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge during the second round on Friday
Europe's Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald led the tributes to PGA Tour star Grayson Murray after he was found dead on Saturday. He was 30 years old.
Players were informed of Murray's death on Saturday, and the tournament will continue in Fort Worth, Texas in accordance with Murray's family's wishes. “I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play. They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson said: "Very sad to hear the news of Grayson Murray’s passing today. Life is so fragile… I was just hugging you at the Masters, telling you how proud of you I am. Thankful to have known you. My deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. He will be missed."
