Lucid rounds out Air lineup with two new trims.
The Lucid Air Pure represents the entry-level offering from the Newark, California-based automaker. The car is slated to be offered in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations, underpinned by Lucid’s Long Range Battery Pack. This 88-kWh pack contains 18 modules as opposed to the larger pack’s 22, which makes it a bit lighter and more compact. The automaker says that this makes the sedan even more efficient, providing an EPA-estimated 410 miles of range in an all-wheel drive configuration.
The Air Touring also features the same metal roof as the Air Pure, but customers do have the option to spec the brand’s Glass Canopy. Inside, the Air Touring provides a more luxurious experience than the Pure, thanks to the addition of carbon-neutral Nappa leather mixed with the aforementioned textiles.Production of the Lucid Air Pure is slated to begin next month, with the automaker hoping to have deliveries begin before the end of the year. The car will start at $87,400.
