Working the breakfast shift in radio or television can be gruelling due to the early hours, but after five years Lucy is finding more benefits to getting up at the crack of dawn
Lucy Kennedy says she has more time to do the things she wants in her ever expanding career since joining breakfast radio.

Working in breakfast radio and having a bulk of work done early in the morning helps Lucy to balance her other responsibilities.
She added: “Breakie radio is a different discipline to anything I’ve ever done. I’m now doing it five years – two years with Radio Nova, and three years with Classic Hits.“When I finish live radio I could run a marathon. I have buckets of energy and that is ultimately from working radio.
She explained: “I’ve spent my life deleting texts and WhatsApps because I don’t know what’s real and what isn’t and I’ve nearly been scammed about ten times. So I investigated it for that reason.
