Diaz's performances since Christmas - eight goals and five assists - explain why it has become a popular chant, particularly among the travelling Kop. And it hasn't gone unnoticed from the player himself. Certainly, Diaz has been a mainstay for Liverpool this season under Jurgen Klopp. Only Virgil van Dijk has made more Premier League starts than the 30 managed by the 27-year-old, who will be hopeful of racking up an 18th successive one at Aston Villa on Monday.
And speaking to liverpoolfc.com, he added: "I'm very happy. I'm contributing to the team as I've always wanted to do with goals, assists, playing well. The team comes first before the individual, and scoring a goal at Old Trafford is incredible for me, for the team.
