Luka Modric has warned Europe’s big guns that Croatia aren’t at Euro 2024 just to make up the numbers.
Modric bristled at Friday’s press conference when asked from the outset repeated questions about Spain, before cutting in and making his point that Croatia cannot be dismissed. That is something Modric and co are looking to make up for, believing they haven’t done themselves justice in this competition in recent times.
“It is a difficult group. We know this. But we’ve showed in the last few years that we can compete with the best national teams in the world.
