The Leeds United skipper earned his side a point with a second-half header against West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion legend Tony Brown knows a thing or two about scoring goals. The former Baggies star scored 279 goals for the Hawthorns side - but has special praise for Leeds United's hero Luke Ayling following his leveller in Friday night's Championship clash.
However Brown, working for BBC Radio WM, saw a vital element of Ayling's game, claiming he makes late runs 'more than anyone I’ve seen from that position'. “Luke Ayling on the right-hand side makes these late runs every time, "he said while commentating on the match. "The Albion back line have really got to keep him in their eyesight. He makes those runs more than anyone I’ve seen from that position.”
Ayling can't wait for the transfer window to close after a difficult few weeks for the club, and said after his header earned Leeds a point: “It’s a very long season, this Championship season, and obviously there’s 43 games to go. I’m not going to lie, I can’t wait for the window to close so that we know what we’ve got.
