Michael van Gerwen has warned Luke Littler that he has still to “chase” him after seeing off the Nuke in the his latest Premier League Final victory.
And while Van Gerwen trails the teenager by four points he had a loaded warning for the teenager in his post-match press conference. Van Gerwen said: “I don’t have to chase anyone. He has to chase me still. I’m about 150 tournaments in front of him so good luck to him.” He was then quizzed on Littler featuring in Forbes magazine before continuing: “He didn’t win anything, that’s the worst thing.
Van Gerwen has had highs and lows against Littler - but remains unmoved over who is the better player. He added: “That’s going to happen in the Premier League, we’re going to play each other so often. You’re going to win two times and then you’re going to lose two times. That’s how it is.
