The Cork native has had a hugely busy year with the release of her debut number one album - she is looking forward to some well-deserved downtime with her loved ones

Lyra has given a glimpse into her Christmas plans as she will be spending the day with her tight-knit family.

She said that Christmas is her favourite holiday of the year - and admitted she watches the Grinch, her favourite film, all year round. "We'll all be at home, the family. We've actually stopped buying Christmas presents for the adults, because the main thing is the make sure everyone is at home for it. My brother works abroad, my sister is always busy with her kids, I'm always dipping in and out over the Christmas period with shows here and there and appearances. So our focus is that everyone is at home and trying to be present. We try and put the phones away for a while and have some quality time.

Because of her hectic schedule, Lyra is excited to have a few days off where she isn't thinking about work.
