Paul G. Tremblay, the author of Cabin at the End of the World, reviewed M. Night Shyamalan's adaptation of his book, KnockAtTheCabin 'I have some mulling to do (my head is spinning) but early verdict is that the movie and performances are pretty great.'
The author of the original source material for Knock at the Cabin, Paul G. Tremblay, shares his first reactions to the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan thriller. Audiences are currently gearing up for the latest highly-anticipated release from writer-director Shyamalan.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Following the recent premiere of Knock at the Cabin, Tremblay has now shared his initial reactions to the adaptation of his novel. Taking to Twitter to share his thoughts, Tremblay revealed that his head was spinning following the screening. The author stated that while he still had "some mulling to do" his initial thoughts are that Knock at the Cabin's performances, as well as the film itself, are both "pretty great.
These early Knock at the Cabin reviews have also brought major praise for Shyamalan, with many labeling it as one of his strongest releases to date. Shyamalan's recent movies have received mixed responses from audiences, as the director now grapples with the significant level of expectation that has since attached itself to his projects.
Knock at the Cabin's promotional run saw Tremblay's name omitted from various promotional materials, a move that understandably irked the author, while also leading many to question just how closely the film would stick to the events of the original source material. Therefore, it's undoubtedly reassuring to hear Tremblay's early praise for Knock at the Cabin, though it still remains to be seen just how Shyamalan has put his own touch on certain elements of the story.
