M23 rebel group captures at least eight villages in eastern DR Congo following clashes with government soldiers as fighting drives thousands to leave the region, local sources say

Rebels from the M23 group have captured several villages in eastern DR Congo following clashes with government troops in the Rutshuru region, local sources have said.
