Gardai are investigating a brazen act of vandalism on the M7 motorway in County Tipperary, Ireland. On Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm, a group of youths targeted trucks and lorries traveling at speeds of up to 120km/h on a stretch of the eastbound motorway between Birdhill and Nenagh. They hurled stones at the oncoming vehicles, causing significant damage to several HGVs, including smashed windshields.

Videos and images circulating on social media show drivers pulled over on the hard shoulder, inspecting the damage to their vehicles. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident. The Gardaí at Newport are actively investigating the incident, treating it as criminal damage and endangerment to vehicles. No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is ongoing
