The actor-turned-journalist believes the former assassin is racked with guilt
In the past, he has travelled to Afghanistan, the Amazon and Somalia in search of pirates. But, in his latest series, Ross Kemp: Mafia and Britain, the actor has travelled a little closer to home - and to a most unlikely place - Preston .
In 2006, a warrant was out for his arrest which results in Panzuto fleeing the country, in search for a quieter and very different life. With links to gangs in the North West, the Mafia boss was offered sanctuary at the Six Arches Caravan Park near Garstang. During the filming, Kemp meets a string of figures within the Mafia world and was shocked to learn how they work, reports the Star. He said: "We meet genuine ex-members of the Mafia and other organised crime groups who have lived the life and tell their stories in an open and honest way.
