The couple who survived a landslide detailed the awful moments when the slide knocked their home off its foundation in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood, trapping them inside.
“I was trapped underneath the, underneath the fridge with the whole house,” said James. “And my feet are crushed, but they’re not broken and I don’t know how.”
“My mouth and throat were covered, filled with dust,” Didi said. “I didn’t know where he was. And I thought he was dead. And I was screaming for him. I was screaming. And then I heard him say he was alive. He was alive.” But then two propane tanks in back of the house exploded and caught fire.
