The A52 has now reopened

A major road in Nottingham has reopened this morning after a crash late last night.

The A52 Clifton Boulevard was shut westbound between A453 and A6005 , after a single-vehicle collision. National Highways say Nottinghamshire Police were on scene and carrying out collision investigation work. Roads and traffic monitoring service Inrix for the reported the incident shortly after midnight. In an update at 2.37am, it said: "A52 Clifton Boulevard Northbound re-opened, accident cleared from A453 Clifton Lane to Middleton Boulevard ."

Police have not yet released any further details about the incident. A diversion has been put in place.
